BUMAT, the world’s leading
manufacturer of turntables, has announced that for the first time it will be
exhibiting at the ABTT Theatre Show to be held in London on 12-13 June this
year.
The family-owned firm based in Hockenheim
Germany has been in business for over 65 years, and supplies turntables for
sale or rental of any size from 0.5m to 33m in diameter and load-bearing
capacity from 500kg to 200T.
Bumat turntables have been
supplied all over the world for presentations, displays and live performances
at major national and
international trade fairs, events and galas, in theatres and museums, concerts,
video and television productions, in car showrooms and industrial facilities –
inside buildings or in the open air. In direct response to the industry’s
perennial need for a solution at short notice, Bumat holds the largest and most
comprehensive stock of rental turntables available anywhere.
With a growing demand for moving presentations
using revolving or traversing platforms, especially in temporary displays for
TV, fashion shows, sports events and touring theatre and concerts, Bumat has
developed a range of quick-mount theatre turntables, which will be featured at
the ABTT 2013 Theatre Show. Visitors to the Bumat stand will be able to see how
these new turntables can be prepared in the extremely short time of just two
hours. The range includes turntables with a diameter of 8, 12 or 17m, with
other sizes available on request.
It can be programmed with the 'BUMATIC' system, which provides positioning and control of the turntable using a touch panel.
- Up to 15 positions and speeds can be programmed
- Speed selection for each rotation
- Free choice of positioning (positioning tolerance = 0.24°)
- Up to 20 travel cycles possible (pendulum motion, idle speed etc.)
Bumat will also be showing its theatre stage wagon in the form of a basic 1 x 1 m model. These stage wagons are electric drive units to move sets, scenery, props and actors.
